Our team members offer experience in projects from the most modest to the largest, most complicated mixed-use undertakings in the nation. We leverage this experience as needed for every project we undertake. Our Market Officers understand the level of dedication necessary to harvest a successful commercial real estate endeavor including the financial, marketing and operational commitments. These locally-based professionals are supported by senior leadership, a talented pipeline of active real estate professionals, and a veteran finance and accounting staff, each committed to achieving the best possible results.

Our Leaders

Damon Porter–Chief Executive Officer

Damon comes from a family that has been actively involved in architecture and real estate development for more than 40 years with projects ranging from small commercial complexes to multimillion-dollar, mixed-use developments. Through his work with his father’s firm, Altoon & Porter Architects, Damon learned the importance of how great architecture can enhance a community. While with his father-in-law’s firm, La Mancha Development, he learned the value of pre-development planning, engineering and timely completion of a project. Damon oversees all executive functions of Dynamic and works with clients to ensure a proposed development project meets the client’s requirements, and comes in on time and budget. He is a graduate of The University of Southern California, a licensed General Contractor in California and Nevada and California Real Estate Broker. Damon contributes to Teens United Live, JDRF, Stop Cancer, The Trojan Athletic Fund and Vista Del Mar charities.

Ari Nathan - Executive Vice President

Ari Nathan has over 20 years in finance, 16 years of which were living in New York, as an institutional sales trader. Most recently he worked with Jefferies LLC both in New York and Los Angeles. His customers have included high net individuals, mutual funds and hedge funds ranging from $25 Million to in excess of $10 Billion in assets under management. Prior to his career on Wall Street, Ari was a professional tennis player on the ATP Tour. He is a Pepperdine Alum with deep local roots and relationships in the financial community. Ari’s experience in finance, sales and business development make Ari a valued member of the Dynamic team.

David Lich–Chief Financial Officer

David has over 25 years of financial experience in the real estate industry. He first joined Dynamic as Chief Financial Officer in 1998. After a hiatus during which he served as CFO for a Los Angeles affordable-housing developer, he returned to Dynamic as CFO in 2012, responsible for the organization’s entire financial operations. Under his direction, the finance and accounting departments handle financial reporting, corporate and project financing, loan administration, construction-payment application and draw processing, accounting, human resources and information technology. David maintains frequent contact with each of Dynamic’s lending sources and consultants. He leverages these relationships and resources into financially secure projects that serve the needs and goals of Dynamic’s stakeholders. David holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from San Diego State University and a law degree from Loyola Law School.

Daniel  Porter – Vice President of Acquisitions (South Region)

Dan brings 30 years of retail operations real estate experience to Dynamic, having worked with Mobil Oil, Exxon Mobil and more recently with 7-Eleven, Inc. Dan has an extensive network of retailers and brokers and brings valuable relationships and experiences to Dynamic. Vice President of Development for 7-Eleven, Dan oversaw all aspects of U.S. and Canada real estate development, field construction and U.S. franchising. Using his leadership, Dan propelled 7-Eleven’s store growth exponentially in North American from 2008 to 2014, a period of which he was responsible for 2,400 organic single store development and hundreds of acquisitions. As Dynamic’s Vice President of Acquisitions, Dan leads the team to expand the company’s retail development business beyond the West Coast to Texas. A Chicago native, Dan holds a bachelor’s of business degree from St. Norbert College and is a member of various industry groups, including the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Carter Crouch – Vice President of Acquisitions (West Region)

Carter joined Dynamic Development in 2013 as Director of Acquisitions and was promoted to Vice President of West Coast Acquisitions in 2016. He has been responsible for acquisitions for Dynamic’s West Coast regions for the past three years and has structured deals valued at over $250,000,000, Carter’s emphasis is on developing, redeveloping and repositioning underperforming and functionally obsolete assets. During Carter’s 10 years of acquisitions experience, he has developed a keen ability to integrate retailers’ needs and concerns. Before joining Dynamic, Carter served as Vice President of Leasing at Centers Realty, Inc. where he was responsible for a portfolio of 400,000 square feet of retail space. He brings to Dynamic a unique approach to value-add investment by focusing on high-yielding alternative real estate investments, which provide superior risk-adjusted returns. He has cultivated relationships with top brokerages and national retailers gaining their trust – and the trust of tenants – as a reliable professional who always delivers.

Robert Grosse - Vice President of Construction & Design

Development management, retail design, and construction of retail stores excites this 25-year real estate veteran. Robert’s experience managing an architectural office, leading a retail development team and as a franchisee of a multi-unit café chain contribute to his ability to understand client needs from the physical building to operational efficiency. A graduate of the USC School of Architecture with a Minor in Business Administration, Robert has been successful as an independent real estate developer building commercial and residential projects. Robert oversees all facets of Dynamic’s development program and assures that all divisions work together to deliver on-time and on-budget. Prior to joining Dynamic, Robert opened and managed the Southern California regional office of WD Partners, a retail-centric architectural company supporting such brands Mimi’s Café, BJ’s Pizza Brewery, Home Depot, and Thrifty Drugs. At WSS shoes and EZ Lube, Robert was recruited by company founders to aggressively grow their multi-unit retail business and lead all real estate and property/facility activities including general department management, budgeting, design and construction for all company property.

Kelly Harrison–Director of Development

Kelly is responsible for overseeing and directing Dynamic’s development pipeline, from acquisitions to design and entitlement to tenanting and building. Before joining Dynamic, Kelly served as development director with La Mancha Development Company. During her 12 years there, Kelly oversaw 750,000+ square feet of retail development for clients like Vallarta Supermarkets, Superior Markets, Warehouse Shoe Sale, 7-Eleven stores, Chase Bank and other regional and local tenants. Kelly has been a licensed realtor in California since 2002 and an ICSC member since 2003. She has organized numerous women’s networking events in the industry and prides herself on the many commercial real estate relationships she’s developed in the past 15 years. Kelly holds a BA degree from the University of Kentucky and came to California from Atlanta.

Matthew D. Epstein - Director of Architecture

Matthew D. Epstein has 29 years of experience in a broad range of projects and building types, including Retail, Residential and Commercial Office Buildings. Clients include 7 Eleven, Tesoro, Valero, ARCO, Chevron extra mile, Shell, Sonic Burger, Family Dollar, Ralphs, Food for Less and McDonalds. Residential work includes dozens of homes with the largest project being a townhouse development. Office building projects have been class A new construction. He has executed numerous award-winning projects in Southern California and Pennsylvania. His prior experience in Real Estate Development and hands on Construction as a tradesman allows Matt to know what it takes to put a building together. This awareness results in architecture that is crisp, practical, and fulfills the goals of the Development Team to keep the project on time and on budget. Matt earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Pomona College and his Master of Architecture degree from Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh. He holds Certifications from the Construction Specifications Institute in Construction Document Technology and Construction Contract Administration. He has been a board member of the San Fernando Valley Chapter of American Institute of Architects since 2005 and severed as President in 2016.

Christine Norman - Construction Project Manager

Christine is bringing her 25 years of experience in the construction industry to Dynamic as its Construction Project Manager. Her responsibilities include pre-construction services in the form of estimating, design assistance, bid preparation and qualification, and construction management. Among her accomplishments, Christine has been a licensed General Building Contractor in the State of California since 2008 and has extensive experience in estimating and project management. She has served as Chief Estimator as well as a Senior Project Manager on complex design build projects, in Northern California, Southern California, and Hawaii. In 2009 she became a partner in National Energy Solutions, an energy consulting firm that provides detailed analysis of large commercial building such as hospitals, hotels, manufacturing, and warehouse facilities, evaluating potential energy reductions and alternatives for renewable and combined heat and power systems, for the reduction of energy costs.

Jeff Adelman - In House Counsel

Jeff recently joined the Dynamic team after 10 years as in-house counsel for La Mancha Development. During his 25 years as a lawyer, Jeff has negotiated over 175 deals with developers and earned the moniker of “a deal maker” for his business-minded, practical approach to relationship building. His vast experience includes purchase agreements, commercial, retail and industrial leases. Jeff also was legal counsel for Centers Business Management, advising real estate brokers, and represented brokerage companies, such as Coldwell Banker Commercial WESTMAC. He currently oversees all legal aspects of the development of more than 30 retail centers, from a 2,500-square-foot, single-tenant stand-alone building to a 100,000-square-foot grocery store-anchored shopping center. Jeff received a bachelor’s of arts degree in political science from University of California-Berkeley and his law degree from University of California-Hastings.
